And it was all yellow...

I've decided that the reason I love the change created with paint is because it is an inexpensive change that makes a big difference. I am LOVING my new green color in my living room. I had a lovely yellow for a little over 6 years (hard to believe). That yellow is going to stay in my dining room for now. Adding the green creates a beautiful and cheerful color palette throughout my house, I think. There are certain rooms downstairs that I can look through and get glimpses of the new green in the living room and the robin's egg blue in the kitchen, or the yellow in the dining room, and the light tan stripes in the foyer, and on to the green in the living room.  Ahh...lovely!

I could point out no less than a dozen other things I want to change in this room, like updated pictures on my gallery wall, a few new lamps, recovered throw pillows, remove the medallions from the fireplace or better yet, make a new mantle, a better way to store a gazillion toys, and sheet music, and printing cords/paper, etc , matching roman shades for the french doors, but I won't.  I am still on the hunt for the right curtains ... and the money to pay for it all.  Such is my life, but at least my room is painted!  Yea!

Why do things like this make me so happy?!

Oooooh...I love it, Char!!!
Your mantle art really stands out now.
Patience, friend. All will come to be. I think. ;) I have been living in an unfinished home since we "built" it SIX years ago so what do I really know?

But I do love your green!!
