Too many irons...

...in the fire. That's a good way to describe what I have been up to lately. This is good for me in some ways, but mostly, I am just happy to be productive. Hopefully this productivity will result in some things being FINISHED, not just several started! One thing at a time, right?

After reading this, I took this men's shirt from the thrift store (dollar days, yay!)....

90 minute shirt before

and made it into this.

My pattern still requires some tweaking. I need to make it a little bigger for him, but I can't wait to try some more of these little shirts for my little man.

I also read this, and turned this man's sweater,
sweater vest

into this. (Lunch displayed on the front :)

I am also "working on", and I use that term loosely, Easter dresses for Alex and Samantha. I am already wondering if I will regret this, but I work better with deadlines, so we'll see if I can finish this. For Easter, I made CJ some pants that started out as this man's shirt ($1 thrift store find, yay!)
pants before
... the after will have to be for after Easter, I don't dare have him ruin them before he can wear them the first time!

And last, but not least, after reading this, I decided to attempt making this. It is a work in progress.... in my foyer.

More incentive to finish.

Wish me luck!

Yay! I'm glad you've gotten to work on those projects for CJ. I saw Alex's pics on facebook and wondered about the sweater. :) I feel lifted by your creativity, like I did it myself, haha. That bookcase looks AWESOME! Oh to have a foyer to do wood projects in. :)

Good job! (On everything.) I've just spent some time on the knockoffwood blog and it's given me an idea or two. Want to help me build a unit for my sewing room? (I'm off to check out screwguns.)

Oh, you are sooo clever! I'm lovin CJ's cute vest and your bookcase project. I visit her site once a day, and i'm trying to figure out how to get my Dad to build me a bunch of different pieces. :) Too scared to start on my own!

I have been obsessing over Knock Off Wood lately. Where are you putting the cabinet? Can't wait to see it!

The CJ sewing projects are so cute!! I love all your irons in the oven! CJ is looking more and more like Cliff.
