*furniture update*

So ...I am almost done. I had a brief diversion, finishing Easter dresses before last Sunday.

all 3 in Easter outfits

Girls in Easter outfits

And here is Cj in the pants I made for him from a men's shirt, making my own pattern from a pair of pants I cut up. All of which I learned about on this fabulous, inspiring website, Made. (FASHION DISCLAIMER: I tried to use this new polmade to make Cj's hair look like the cool messy look and it just ended up looking messy...maybe because everytime I styled it, Cliff secretly was laying it back down! ugh! time for a haircut!)

So the piece looks something like this...but with 2 coats of primer on everything. And if you look carefully, you can see the daring color I am going to paint it.

hutch half-primed

And the surfaces in my foyer and beyond look a little like this... sawdust.. :)

Saw dust

So not much left to do, just 2 coats of paint and the hardware. And hopefully it will look kind of like this original, but in my custom color and my custom hardware! Yeah!

Depending on how this week goes, I should be done by the end of the week. :) So exciting! All thanks to Knock-off Wood!

Such a talented woman you are Charity! Once we got home from taking pics on Sunday I kicked myself for not going over to y'all and offering to take a picture of your family. Sorry about that- didn't even think about it until it was too late.

I was just thinking I need to ask you where you got his pants when you mentioned that you MADE them from a SHIRT!!! What??
Can I...um...commission you? You think I'm kidding.
LOVE the girls' dresses. Polka dottiness is ADORABLE!!

Seriously impressive woodworking skillz, friend. You've been holding out. May have been smart 'cause I've now got you on my list of things "to do". :)

Beware.
