The Boy Who Cried Wolf!

A boy who cried, “Wolf!” was he,

He thought how funny it’d be,

To say “Charity’s with child!”

Then put on a smile,

You guessed it, he’s Clifford Lee.

On every occasion he’d state,

Hoping someone would take the bait,

“She’s pregnant”, he’d say,

In his Clifford-ly way,

Again upsetting his mate.

It became quite a habit to hear,

Cliff shout “she’s pregnant!” so clear,

But no one‘d believe,

And Charity, he’d peeve,

His fatal demise was near.

We’ve all come to know this is true,

Be careful, it could happen to you,

The things you proclaim,

Should be truth, just the same,

Or your words will be nothing new.

But this day, the words that he speaks,

Won’t get the attention he seeks,

Now that Charity’s with child,

The words aren’t so wild,

Even though she’s now pregnant 12 weeks!

So Clifford can finally say,

“Charity’s pregnant!” and it’s true today,

Cause he’s so excited,

And we’re all delighted,

Our Baby is coming in May!
