I went to the quilt show at the Von Braun Center Friday. There were some gorgeous quilts. Mom, you would have loved it.

This quilt was so cute. The woman was in a group that each made a quilt block with a house on it, and then she added bushes, swings in the trees, flowers, etc to make it more cohesive. it was really cute. By the way- my pictures were taken on my phone and the lighting wasn't great so the pictures do NOT do justice to the beautiful colors of all of these quilts.

I thought this would be adorable for a girl's room. Pink, lime green and black...so cute!

This was my 3rd favorite quilt there. I love it's simplicity. Even of my 3 favorite ones, this is the one I would want to have in my home to put on my bed. This next one was my favorite one, not because I'd put it on my bed, but I loved the artistic nature of it.

This is a close up of a quilt called "Just Peachy". It think it is called a blooming nine patch. The woman who made it said that she made it for her daughter who was going through cancer treatment. One day, trying to have a good attitude, someone asked her daughter how she was feeling, and she said "Just peachy!" so her mom made her this quilt to remind her to stay positive. It was beautiful.
