I said I would post about getting lost so here is what happened the first time...a while back (at least a year ago) I had planned to Sirs Fabrics while the girls were in school. I read the directions and everything, but somehow missed a crucial turn and ended up in Woodville, needless to say I went to Unclaimed Baggage in Scottsboro instead that day.
Over the holidays my Mom, sister Meredith and her friend Alice came to visit. My mom, CJ and I decided to take a trip to Dogtown to look at furniture. I looked up the directions just as a reminder although I have driven there at least 4 times. On the way there, my Mom says "why are there so many signs for the Tennessee lottery? Do we go through Tennessee on the way to Dogtown?" I didn't really think much about it. about 15 minutes later Mom says, "That looks alot like the Goodwill that is on the way to Sirs."
"Oh yeah- I think there's one like that on the way to Dogtown too." I say.
Then we see a sign that says "Welcome to Fayetteville, Tennessee".
OH MY GOSH! What's worse is that I was telling her the story of how I ended up halfway to Dogtown (Scottsboro) on the way to Sirs last time. After a few tries, I pull into a gas station and ask the guy if I can look at the map to see if there is a shorter way to get to Scottsboro from Fayetteville...There's not! We turned around and went back and then headed on to Dogtown. The trip that should have taken and hour and a half to get there took us almost three and half hours. It was pretty funny. And can I mention how really well-behaved CJ was the whole trip. He took it all in stride.
I swear I've lost brain cells with this baby!

:)! Ha! If my sense of direction was the only thing my babies have zapped from my brain. I'll be on the lookout for a GPS q for ya!
uMMMM, well, er... are you sure your not pregnant AGAIN?! Sounds like a sure case of 'preggers brain' to me, giggle!!! Although, giving it a second analysis... if I were pregnant everytime I got lost then I would be the little ole lady that lived in a shoe!!!
Well your post made me smile. I have to say though that I remember this one trip to a mother daughter camp out that took a little longer than it was supposed to, too. Thanks for the smile.
LOL!!! I am sorry, but that is too funny!!!
Oh, that's bad. I'm hurting for you! I missed a turn in downtown Atlanta once, ended up on the wrong side of town, with both of my children in the car, a four hour drive ahead of us, and turned around just to sit in a horrible traffic jam. Ooo, I was ready to lay back and just go to sleep.
But, did you find anything good at Dogtown? I've been thinking of driving over there, I'll have to chat with you.
Ooops! Lol...
Hey Charity! I found you from Jessica's blog... hope that's okay. I did the same thing while going to Atlanta I went for over an hour on the wrong interstate. I'm usually pretty good on directions so I was pretty upset. As much as I love the south- the signs are confusing! Streets and highways always change names- will just blame it on that to make us feel better, right?
