Time well spent

Almost daily I feel twinges of guilt that I haven't updated my blog in so long. My days are spent adoring my little boy. Just like a boy, he has been trying to show me how he can fit his whole fist in his mouth. So cute! My perspective is so different from when the girls were little. They grew up so fast. I'm just trying to soak in all of the joys and wonders of having a little baby. Last week, Nanny reminded me of this poem when I told her that CJ and I were great but just about everything else was being neglected.

"Babies Don't Keep"
I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs, dust go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.

I hope a time will come when CJ and I have a schedule that gives me some time for myself and doing things I love to do, other than talk to and play with my beautiful boy. But for now- just know that I haven't forgotten my blogging friends. I'm on important business...

OHHHH! This is such a sweet time for you! I am grinning so big right now thinking of the special time I had with Ty, so long awaited for, like your little fella. And I also, like you expressed, was able to prioritize better than with my first 2 and enjoy him. I have never regretted the 'slow down' I took with Ty, in relation to ALL the other STUFF that life throws at you, and being stingy with every hour of the day, refocusing on my little family!

PS - Thank you for the compliments on my house, can't see in those pictures I recently posted, but I totally 'lifted' your robins egg blue from your kitchen in several areas of my house, its gorgeous, grin. Sorry for the novel, grrrr.

That is so sweet. How lucky you are to have this time to spend with just him. He is adorable.
